Dr. Nieto gave the keynote address at our 2nd Biennial International Conference on Urban Education.  Her talk was titled "Urban Education Life Lessons: From Brooklyn Dreams to the Academy and Beyond".  In this lecture, Professor Nieto reflected on her life as a teacher and researcher, and professor of teacher education to draw a number of lessons about public education and its future for both our most vulnerable students, and for our nation.
